JAMAC and the history of art: traces given by the paintings on the wall

Abstract
During conversations with the artist Mônica Nador, on the occasion of an exhibition that I curated and in which she participated through her project with JAMAC (Jardim Miriam Arte Clube), notions about the history of art itself in recent decades and the role of museums, art galleries and cultural institutions for the general population, especially because they live in peripheral regions, sparked the intention of creating this article, based on books, articles and essays by people involved with the questions raised. The artist's involment with the book "Under the Ruins of the Museum", by historian Douglas Crimp and with the reference given by artist Gordon Matta-Clark, takes the text to a scope tha reachs Nador's colletive and inerdisciplinary work with JAMAC.
