Abstract

Mulheres da Lagoa is a theater performance that is in the process of creation and that can be contemplated by by what is called theaters of the real. On stage are women who were not actresses, but who bring to the show their own stories and those related to the place and traditions they experience. The article reflects on the context in which these six women are inserted - the village of Lagolândia, in Goiás, with its intense calendar of popular festivals and the mythical history of Santa Dica. I try to articulate my theatrical look at the daily performance of these women with the cultural performance of the Catholic festivals of the place and, from this, I present some solutions in terms of dramaturgical structure for the work I have been directing.
