Abstract

This article presents a performance and reflects, based on it, on possible spaces for a dissident faculty to occupy in public schools. “GOL-gay” (2022) is a performative action that takes place on the sports court - where sexual and gender prejudices overflow - with an unusual situation that causes strangeness to those who are having regular classes there. From this action, and based on references such as Eleonora Fabião (2009), Jorge Larrosa (2019; 2020), Guacira Lopes Louro (1997) and Paul Preciado (2020), in addition to the term heteroterrorism by Berenice Bento (2011), it reflects on the issues of sexual and gender dissidence and it is perceived that the court seems to gain another layer of meanings with the action and, perhaps for a few minutes, it also becomes a place for a dissident body to occupy.
