Abstract

As a manifesto-poem, the text presents the way in which an artist of today understands her path as a woman in the theatre, acting in the creation of a collective and collaborative work, always in chorus, which is inserted in the world and, at the same time, desires break with its rigid structures. Theatre is described as personal identity and work; unfolding that confirms the emphasis that the poem expresses on the presence of a continuous journey between the creations of Cia São Jorge Variedades, a company based in São Paulo of which the artist is a part, and other staging experiences that she has accumulated in recent years. The making of the creative process, crises and the fundamentals of the director are among the topics addressed. Keywords: Women in theatrical direction; Creation processes; Theater training; Contemporary scene; Brazilian theatre.
