DEADLINE EXTENSION FOR SUBMISSIONS - Revista Rebento 17

The issue 17 seeks to contribute to discussions on the ability of contemporary art to reconfigure and/or abandon hegemonic patterns of representation, in terms of artistic creation, in order to embrace greater representativeness, different standpoints, and more diverse life experiences. The idea of art as an autonomous production of reality, which has been contested due to the representative's inability to fully encompass the represented, is taking new directions, as the concept of representativeness not only questions aesthetic aspects, but also ethical boundaries. If the relation of representation and representativeness has generated new creations and theories in the beginning of the XXI century, in which way have the form, function, and discourse of performing and visual arts been altered? As of the submissions sent through the jounal's platform (<http://www.periodicos.ia.unesp.br/index.php/rebento/about/submissions#onlineSubmissions>) to July 30, 2023, this issue will combine articles, essays or fictional texts, visual essays, interviews, manifests, translations, reviews and processes diaries. The release of issue 17 of Rebento Journal is scheduled for October 2023. Submissions with different themes will be inserted in the continuous demand articles.
